Overhauls .... αλλά οι 40% βαθμούληδες, παραμένουν 40. Νομίζω ότι θα πρέπει να δούμε πιο γενναίες κινήσεις από το συγκεκριμένο αποστακτήριο αν θέλει να ανταγωνιστεί τα καλά παιδιά που είναι 5 λεπτάκια μακρυά (απέναντι) με το πλοιαράκι.

Παραδοσιακά ο Κακός χαμός με το committe release. 

Όσοι πιστοί δεν πρόλαβαν ας ξαναοπλιστούν με υπομονή κ διάθεση για να ξοδέψουν ένα 100κάτι ευρωπουλάκια.

Dear After a rather long winter here on Islay, myself and the rest of the distillery team are looking forward to swapping snow and storms for some crisp spring sunshine! It is also at this time of the year that we raise a dram to Friendship with our annual Cairdeas release.     As you know, Cairdeas is Gaelic for 'Friendship' and in keeping with this theme, it was our Friends, who were eager to try a Cask Strength version of the Laphroaig Quarter Cask, that influenced last year's release of the Laphroaig Cairdeas Cask Strength Quarter Cask. Following this, we also saw the return of an old Friend; none other than the Laphroaig Cairdeas 15 Year Old. Having previously been discontinued in 2008, it was brought back for a special one-off appearance in celebration of our 200 year anniversary in 2015. A firm favourite from the start, it made a comeback as our second Cairdeas release of the year in 2017, and is here to stay for the foreseeable future. As for this year's release, we are delighted to introduce the Laphroaig Cairdeas Fino. Matured in first-fill bourbon casks before being double matured in Fino Sherry casks, this unique expression uses barrier filtration to create a liquid that has notes of toasted almonds, dried fruit and sea salt — perfectly complementing Laphroaig’s signature peaty flavour. The Laphroaig Cairdeas Fino will be available exclusively to Friends of Laphroaig in June, remember to keep an eye on your emails and on our Facebook page for further updates about its release. We’ve also been busy preparing for this year's Fèis Ìle festivities. We had a great day last year; between the tours, tastings and wonderful music from live bands Coal Town Daisies and Tidelines. It was also the first time that Friends were able to buy a dram of our old and rare Laphroaig expressions from our then newly licensed bar. A personal highlight for me had to be hosting the tasting note bingo! For those of you who were not able to join us, this tasting session with a twist replaced numbers with words that I was likely to use when describing our liquids. Not wanting to give the game away too easily, I did my best to avoid using these words which turned out to be quite the hilarious challenge. You can  see photos from this event, as well as the rest of last year's celebrations, over on our Facebook page   To follow on from such a wonderful Feis Ile last year, we have plenty of treats in store for 2018 including the Friends of Laphroaig Highland Games on the 27th of May and Laphroaig’s Got Talent, this year’s tasting session with a twist which is due to take place during the Laphroaig Open Day on the 29th of May. The program for this year's event will be available on our website from 2pm on the 23rd of April. Our tickets and local accommodation always sell out quickly so it’s best to book sooner rather than later if you would like to join us. Oldest Known Bottle of Glenfarclas Comes Home

J. & G. Grant were thrilled to welcome home what they believe to be the oldest unopened bottle of Glenfarclas still in existence.  The recently rediscovered bottle is from 1920 – the oldest that we know of, making it a very important addition to the Glenfarclas archive. 

On the closure of Gartloch Distillery in 1920, the bottle was presented to its manager Stephen Dowell.  It was kept by Mr Dowell until 1947, then passed to his daughter.  She then passed it to Mr Hugh Taylor, her niece’s husband, back in 1988 – after it was discovered wrapped in a tea towel at the back of the laundry cupboard!  He kept hold of it until recently, when his family contacted Glenfarclas.

The bottle came home during a lunch in April when John Grant was able to inspect it in person for the first time.  A number of features on the bottle meant he had absolutely no doubt about it’s authenticity. In an age when a number of bottles purportedly from that time are turning out to be counterfeit, this one is definitely the real deal. John said “I am delighted to bring this bottle containing whisky from the time of my grandfather back to it’s spiritual home, and as such add another chapter to our archive.”

Visitors to the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival will be able to view the bottle, which will be on display in the Glenfarclas visitor centre alongside the new Festival bottling.  This year’s edition is a 2004 single cask selected by distillery manager Callum Fraser.  From Thursday, bottles per day will be available at the distillery on a first come first served basis.

Μήπως είδες και τις τιμές??!!! Κράζαμε το Ardnahoe αλλά οι τύποι ψάχνουν για λακαμάδες, συν το γεγονός ότι δεν μιλάμε για παλαίωση, αλλά για έτοιμα βαρέλια που θα κάνουν finish.

Sorry, αλλά αυτό είναι too much marketing για εμένα και αρχίζω πλεόν εκτός από απόρριψη με με νευριάζει και το αποστακτήριο. Συγγνώμη αλλά θα μείνω αθεράπευτα ρομαντικός, πίσω στο χωρίς μάρκετινγ αποστακταήριο που αγαπάω για το καλύτερο 18άρι που έχω πιει και ένα από τα καλύτερα 25άρια. Δεν ξέρω το έχει αλλάξει εκεί πάνω, αλλά με χαλάει.

Λοιπόν το ξαναδιάβασα Και οι τιμές περιλαμβάνουν όλα τα παρεμφερή κόστη (δασμούς ΦΠΑ εμφιάλωση και αποστολή στο ΗΒ) δεν σημαίνει ότι συμφωνώ αλλά για να λέμε του στραβού το δίκιο όλες οι άλλες προσφορές που έχω δει δεν περιλαμβάνονται αυτά τα έξοδα που είναι αρκετά σημαντικά, έτσι την έχουν πατήσει αρκετοί και όταν είναι να εμφιάλωσουν ψάχνουν να βρουν κάτι χιλιάρικα τελευταία στιγμή...

Κ γω σε μια σύντομη ανάγνωση που το είχα κάνει σαν να θυμάμαι ότι ήταν all included αλλα δεν ημουν κ απολυτα σιγουρος. 

Γενικότερα μιλώντας δεν το λες κ εξωφρενική τιμή.
